Update – 9/14/10
Hi guys!
I can hardly believe it! Today marks one month from the surgey on my leg! The time has been challenging, and has at times seemed to creep, but nonetheless, here we are. Half way there!:) Paul and I had dinner this week with Showpark’s most recent Grand Prix Champion, Eduardo Menezesand his wife, the lovely Leticia. Eduardo is from Brazil, and has been a friend for several years. We are very happy to welcome them to Southern California!
At dinner, he told me an amazing story. He had a horse come down on his leg, and break it badly. But worse, when the horse twisted to get up, the broken bones sheared off the tendon!! So after surgery, they had to set the lower leg at an unnatural angle, to allow the tendon to heal properly. He was in a cast for months, and as so many riders, was told that he would never ride again. His story of strength, the ensuing frustration, and the first 2 steps he was able to take on that leg, were just so inspiring. And then he waved it off like it was nothing, and said that this time would be over before I knew it. As I sit here today, at the one month mark, I realize… he is right.
So I want you to Tune In and Log On Friday at 7:00pm for the Blenhein Grand Prix, to catch up with all your favorite riders, and see some thrilling Horse Sport! It’s a World Cup Qualifier, so it is going to be a really exciting show, indoors, under the lights!
And I can’t wait to be right back out there, working it for you:):) What ever am I going to wear??
All My Best,
xxoo Tamara:)
