Tamara’s Sacred Journey – Tibet 8/17/10

Hello!
Greetings from the Roof Top of The World:)

I have not had any signal in Tibet, so have not been able to type out my blogs. But rest assured that I videoed the entire trip.

And as I write this, I have just returned home from the most wonderful adventure. I have SO much to tell you about!!

I experienced the highest spiritual highs, and pushed my body farther than I thought was humanly possible.

I swam in healing hot springs, and climbed to 17,000 feet.
I partook of the blessings of Samye, and changed the lives of villagers with my hands. The experience can only be summed up as profound. and transformational.

And although mighty, it was not without its challenges.
After our third and toughest climb, I lost my footing coming down the mountain. The resulting fall left my lower leg broken in three places. Coming the rest of the way down that mountain , was the greatest act of Faith and Will I have ever performed. Then the jeep ride to the nearest Hospital in Lhasa was over 3 hours, on a rocky bumpy road.

The Doctors there x-rayed, set, and cast the leg. then they bled out my foot for good measure.

I got home last night, after 20 hrs. of flying.
My Orthopedic doctor took one look at it today, and said that I would need surgery immediately. So, I am scheduled for surgery in the morning. I am a little nervous, but at this point, I just have to get through it.

At least during my 3-4 month recovery, I will have plenty of time to edit the Tibetan footage, and focus on the wonders of my trip.

I am so very grateful, and humbled to live where I live, and have the exceptional life that we do. I have never felt so appreciative. And the thing that I bring home with me, is a love for, the heart and the spirit of a truly beautiful people.
The People of Tibet.

But more about that in my next Blog…
Always,
Tamara:)
